Have you heard of Landmark Forum? I did and it was worth it! Being a team manager, my job is to look at the welfare of each and every member of my team. With sixty wards under my wing, you can already imagine how hard it is to monitor individual statistics. However, in my twenty years of service, one thing I found common in most of my problematic juniors is when personal turbulence overlaps their judgment. I want to tackle that problem but I do not know where and how to start. When do a boss’ responsibilities begin? For this reason, I was brought to the halls of Landmark Education.
It all started when a friend invited me to what she used to call “paradigm shift” program. I have heard of Landmark Forum before but never had the chance to dig deeper amidst the positive feedback I heard from people I know who have experienced it. Call it luck or opportunity at a right time, my friend’s guest got sick at the last minute and I became the replacement—all expense paid. It was such an eye-opening experience! I can feel how the room vibrates with emotions and intense feeling of stress then denial and lastly, freedom. A light bulb came on my head right there and then. This three-day and 1-night personal development program will be more than what my juniors will have to give them the right perspective about work, love, life, relationship and other important aspects that comprise who they are. I began inviting two then five until such time that everyone was able to share their experiences. From out department straight to the top management, the company I have worked for has become a stout advocate of Landmark Education’s programs and courses. We want to do things right and we begin with our people.
